WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a deadly triple shooting in Northeast D.C.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened near the intersection of Trinidad and Queen Streets around 2 a.m. Saturday.
When officers arrived in the area, they found three people who had been shot. One of the victims, later identified as 33-year-old Najee Dickens, died from their injuries. The other two victims, a man and a woman, are expected to survive.
Police say the three were shot in the 1600 block of Trinidad Avenue.
No information has been released regarding suspect description or motive. It is unclear what led up to the shooting at this time.
