11 TV Shows And Movies You Totally Forgot Taylor Swift Was In

1 month ago 3

Taylor Swift is by far the most famous singer — no, person — in the world right now. And as if she couldn't get any more impressive, did you know she's also had starring roles and cameos in tons of movies and TV shows? Here's a full list for you to peruse while you listen to TTPD (which, by the way, I still have on repeat all day):

In chronological order, OF COURSE.

1. Saturday Night Live (2009-2023)

It's fair to say Taylor made her acting debut by hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time in 2009. Most notably, you might remember her iconic monologue song (which I'm bummed I didn't get as an Eras Tour surprise song).

2. Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009)

Way back in the day, Taylor made a cameo in this absolutely iconic movie. In it, she performs her song "Crazier," which she actually wrote for the movie. Adorable!!

3. Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience (2009)

That same year, Taylor also appeared in the Jonas Brothers concert movie. She was dating Joe Jonas when the movie was filmed (but not in 2009 when it came out). In the movie, she came out as a surprise guest and performed the absolute BOP, "Should've Said No."

4. CSI (2009)

I had NO clue Taylor's first major acting role was in a show as serious as CSI. She was 19 at the time, and her mom apparently was "freaked out" over this guest appearance. Maybe because she played a dead person. But hey, Taylor also said this was one of her favourite shows at the time, so good for little Tay!

5. Valentine's Day (2010)

OK, so you probably knew about this one, because it's ICONIC. She played Felicia, who dated Taylor Lautner's character in the movie. And funny enough, the two Taylors were actually dating in real life at the time, too. (Cue "Back to December.")

6. The Lorax (2012)

Taylor kicked up her acting into high gear for this one — she played a starring role in this movie, opposite the one and only Zac Efron. But since this movie is animated, not a lot of people know she played Audrey.

7. New Girl (2013)

In New Girl, Taylor played a character who stopped a wedding and ran away with the groom (à la "Speak Now"). TBH, she actually KILLED her monologue — this time, a real one, not a song. Although that would have been great too.

8. The Giver (2014)

Another big role for Taylor — she played Rosemary, The Giver's daughter, opposite Jeff Bridges. This was much more serious of a part, and I have to say, she nailed it. She wore a brown wig, and the director tried to make her as "un-Taylor-like" as possible.

9. Bluebird (2019)

One film a lot of people don't know Taylor was in is a documentary called Bluebird, which discusses artists' experiences performing and being discovered at Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. Taylor talks about her experiences and, of course, sings (her "Better Man" performance is one of her best ever, IMO).

10. Cats (2019)

We all know Taylor loves cats, so it was no surprise when she appeared in the movie alongside star-studded cast members like Idris Elba and James Corden. She played Bombalurina, and really did prove that "Karma is a cat" once and for all. (Sorry. That was bad.)

11. Amsterdam (2022)

And finally, Taylor's most-recent acting performance was in a 2022 comedy-mystery movie, as the character Liz. This appearance, though quick, was immediately super beloved by fans. Also, in case you're wondering, other notable stars in the movie are Christian Bale and Margot Robbie.

There you have it — all the movies and TV shows Taylor has acted or performed in (except for her own movies and films, duh). Let me know which performance was your favourite in the comments below!

Me personally? I just love her character in The Lorax. It's so adorable.
