WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a shooting that left a 12-year-old boy wounded in D.C.
Calls came in just before 4:30 p.m. Monday for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived they located the wounded boy.
Police say the victim was a 12-year-old who was struck in the leg by a bullet. He was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive.
There is no word on what led up to the shooting, but police say they are looking for a teenage boy wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and a black hoodie tied around his waist.
