A 16-year-old boy was also hurt.

ANNANDALE, Va. — The Fairfax Police Department is investigating a double shooting incident that occurred on Friday, June 28, just after 11 p.m., at the 4100 block of Wadsworth Court in Annandale, Virginia.

Fairfax County Police say a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were shot while walking together in the area. The 14-year-old boy later died from his injuries at the hospital, police said. The older boy's injuries were said to be non-life-threatening.

Detectives believe someone shot at the boys from inside a vehicle. They do not believe the shooting was a random act of violence.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation. So far, no arrests have been made. Police are asking for the public's help to find the shooter.
