1. Halle Lynn Bailey was born on March 27, 2000. That makes her an Aries!

2. Originally, her parents wanted to name her Hailey, but they decided not to because it would then rhyme with their last name, Bailey.

3. Her friendship with Beyoncé goes back further than you'd think! They first met when Halle was only three years old because her sister, Chlöe, played a younger version of Beyoncé's character Lilly in The Fighting Temptations. The movie was filmed in the Baileys' home state.

4. After watching Halle perform "Where Is the Love?" at the 2019 Grammys, The Little Mermaid director Rob Marshall personally asked her to try out for Ariel. Her audition performance of "Part of Your World" brought him to tears, so that's when he knew she was perfect for the role.

5. She was actually "obsessed" with The Little Mermaid, replaying the original animated movie so much that she wore out her family's VHS copy.
