LAKE RIDGE, Va. — A large fire in Prince William County forced five people out of their homes on Tuesday night. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the fire marshal's office.
Prince William County firefighters were called to the 12800 block of Mill House Court in Lake Ridge, Virginia around 8:17 p.m. for a reported townhouse fire. When crews arrived, they found flames and smoke coming from one unit and expanding into a next-door home as well. A second alarm was called to get more firefighters to the scene to assist.
Once the fire was extinguished, fire department officials said two units were deemed unsafe to occupy. A total of five people were displaced and received assistance from the Red Cross. No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze.
