2 men shot in Northeast DC on Fourth of July

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a double shooting in Northeast D.C. on the Fourth of July.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of 11th Street and Galloway Street, Northeast.

Officers have confirmed two men were wounded in the shooting. Both were conscious and alert when first responders arrived. 

There is no word on their injuries at this time. Police have not released any information regarding possible suspects or what may have happened in the moments leading up to the shooting.
