The preliminary investigation showed the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute.
MARYLAND, USA — Prince George’s County Police identified and charged two 17-year-olds in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in April.
The two teens are accused of killing 19-year-old Carlos Hernandez-Ortiz from Chillum, Maryland.
On April 10, officers were called to the 500 block of Chillum Road for reports of a shooting just after midnight. When officers arrived they found Hernandez-Ortiz outside suffering from gunshot wounds. First responders took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The preliminary investigation showed the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute. Police say Hernandez-Ortiz knew the shooters.
Both teens are being charged with first and second-degree murder and are being held without bond.
