Former 20th Century Fox and Aspect executive Dougal Strachan has been named EVP, managing director at creative marketing agency Think Jam.

Strachan will be based in Los Angeles and work directly under CEO Daniel Robey. In his role, he will nurture the global fandoms of Think Jam’s studio and streaming clients, which include Amazon Prime Video, Sony Pictures, Warner Discovery, Disney+, HBO, Universal and Paramount.

“I have admired Think Jamʼs ambition, creativity and continuous innovation in the entertainment marketing space for a long time,” Strachan said. “Itʼs a huge privilege to join the agency at this exciting time to steer the next stage of their growth, and work on some of the most beloved IPʼs in the world.ˮ

Before joining Think Jam, Strachan was senior vice president of international marketing at 20th Century Fox, leading franchises such as “X-Men,” “Deadpool,” “Kingsman” and “Bohemian Rhapsody.” After the merger with Disney, Strachan left to join Aspect as head of digital, where he led the global social creative for Amazon’s “Fallout.”

“We have known Dougal for over 15 years — as a brilliant client, a razor-sharp industry leader, and more recently, a deserving competitor,” said CEO Robey. “Weʼre thrilled to have him join the team in this new leadership role, bringing a strategic and creative lens to our fandom and franchise proposition, leaning on his extensive global experience.ˮ

Other recent U.S. hires for Think Jam include former X (formally Twitter) executive Rob Harrington as VP of social strategy and influencer marketer Argine Ovsepyan as VP of creator marketing.
