25 Quick But Worthwhile TV Shows You Can (And Should) Watch In Two Days Or Less

1 year ago 15

We've all been there: You're bored and need a new show to watch, but you simply don't have the time or energy for an eight-season epic.

That's not even to mention the brain power it takes to add season upon season of lore into our memory banks, leaving you wishing you could watch something fun and different but short enough to fit into a weekend.

With this conundrum in mind, I've gone ahead and found a solution by compiling 25 extraordinary television series that you can stream in their entirety in less than 48 hours (with sleep breaks included!).

1. The Legend of Vox Machina (2022–Present)

3. Mr. Show with Bob and David (1995–1998)

5. I’m a Virgo (2023–Present)

10. Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace (2004)

11. Kevin Can F**k Himself (2021–2022)

12. Magic City (2012–2013)

13. Detroiters (2017–2018)

15. Mr. Mercedes (2017–2019)

17. Paul T. Goldman (2023)

A singular piece of entertainment that will trap you in its wild and cringe-inducing web, Paul T. Goldman revolves around a seemingly average man who discovers his ex-wife had allegedly been financially scamming him and involved in a greater criminal conspiracy. However, all is not what it seems to be in the life of the titular character, and the show's blending of nonfiction, dramatic reenactments, and meta self-examination turns the "true crime documentary" genre on its head in a way that will leave your jaw on the floor.

18. Shining Vale (2022–Present)

19. Alternatino with Arturo Castro (2019)

20. Penny Dreadful (2014–2016)

21. García! (2022–Present)

23. Do You Want to See a Dead Body? (2017)

Co-created by Rob Huebel (Childrens Hospital), who stars as a bizarre version of himself who brings along his reluctant celebrity friends on madcap journeys to go see dead bodies. With a plethora of guest stars ranging from Adam Scott to John Cho to Lil Rel Howery, Do You Want to See a Dead Body? feels like an authentic late-stage extension of the Funny or Die brand, offering genuinely great absurdist comedy throughout each episode of its sadly short tenure as a YouTube Original.

24. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (2022)

25. Behind the Attraction (2021–Present)

As a theme park and live attraction enthusiast, few Disney+ Originals have been as compelling or unique as Behind the Attraction, a documentary series delving into the most beloved Disney Parks attractions of all time, from "The Jungle Cruise" to "Space Mountain" and everything in between. Even going as far as to delve into the transportation methods of the Disney theme parks and the expansion of their hotel business, this writer is particularly fond of their episode on "The Haunted Mansion," as the documentary explores not only the history of the original Disneyland attraction but the differences between the iterations of the attraction from around the world, including Disneyland Paris's "Phantom Manor" and Hong Kong Disneyland's "Mystic Manor."
