29 Times Movies And TV Shows Made Such Staggeringly Embarrassing Mistakes It Made People Go, "How Did They Not Fix This?"

1. In the Netflix movie Beauty, you can literally audibly hear someone say, "Stay in character," in one scene. The subtitles even catch it. You can listen for yourself here.

2. In this Watchmen scene, the grave is quite clearly too small to even fit the coffin.

3. In Honey I Shrunk the Kids, it's clearly established that Russel can't whistle. Then later in the film, he clearly can and does.

4. In The Walking Dead, the actor playing Aaron accidentally used his own character's name — Aaron — instead of calling for Eric, like he was supposed to.

5. As a former actor, I get that lines can be hard to remember. But...Marlon Brando is one of the all-time greats. He really had to write his lines for Burn! in his hat — and the editor really didn't notice???

6. In the final climactic battle of Beauty and the Beast, Gaston shouts, "Belle is mine!" Except...if you look at his lips, he's definitely not saying "Belle is mine," but "time to die."

7. Similarly, in Triangle of Sadness, it's really obvious that Woody Harrelson attributes this quote to George Carlin, then they later had him dub it over with "Mark Twain." It's a very bad dub — just watch it for yourself.

8. Also in Triangle of Sadness, Therese has had a stroke and has muscle weakness in one of her arms...but the affected arm switches throughout the movie.

10. You can very obviously see the reflection of the cameraman and boom operator in this On a Wing and a Prayer scene.

11. And you can literally see the camera and the operator in this Community scene.

12. Rick's hair seems to change instantaneously in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, without him even lifting his hands to move it.

13. And in Jane the Virgin, Petra's mom's breathing mask simply disappears between shots.

14. In Top Gun: Maverick, Rooster's mustache changes to much thinner and sparser between shots.

15. Similarly, in The Empire Strikes Back, Han's jacket keeps going from off to on.

16. Also, Han is very obviously cuffed when he's put in the carbonite. But in The Return of the Jedi, when he's freed, his hands are up by his chest as if in surrender, and they aren't cuffed.

17. Some of my favorite obvious movie mistakes are when they change out actors for stunt doubles that look absolutely NOTHING like the actor they're replacing. Like when Freaky Friday used a MUCH older stunt double for a kid and this TikTok caught it:

18. Similarly, when Ron's stunt double was very visible in the chess scene in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

20. In this scene from Chuck, it's obvious some set designer just looked up random Russian words — because I'm pretty sure there are no apartments that also have bears and caverns.

21. There's a scene in The Fellowship of the Ring — an Oscar-winning movie — where you can see a helicopter above Frodo.

22. In this scene from Accepted, the paint color next to Jonah Hill's character changes between shots — and the mop bucket loses a part.

23. This scene from Welcome to Chippendales is clearly supposed to take place in Switzerland...except the bridge shown on the screen is in Austria.

24. "San Francisco" is literally spelled wrong in this scene from Crumb.

26. In this Pretty Little Liars scene, Aria is clearly holding her cell phone upside down.

27. In The Wizard, when the kids are playing on the Nintendo Entertainment System, the systems are literally off.

28. Finally, let's end on a couple of the most infamous...when a coffee cup was kept in this Game of Thrones scene.

29. And when House of the Dragon totally forgot to green-screen out Viserys' fingers.
