WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a triple shooting in Northwest D.C. Wednesday night.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened near 7th and O Street NW around 9:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found four men had been shot. Two of the victims were conscious and breathing when help arrived, the third victim was not responsive and was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. Originally police reported four victims but have since updated that number.
Police have released a photo of a car investigators say is connected to the quadruple shooting. However, no other suspect description has been announced at this time.
This is the latest in a string of shootings across the District Wednesday night. In just two and half hours, police say six people were shot including the triple shooting in Northwest.

The first shooting happened shortly before 7 p.m. in the 1800 block of Marion Barry Avenue in Southeast. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound inside a car. He was conscious and breathing when first responders took him to an area hospital.
Less than two hours later, a double shooting was reported in the 200 block of 37th Place, Southeast. When help arrived, they found two men who had been shot. Both were alert when they were taken to an area hospital for help.
No suspect description has been released for either the Marion Barry or 37th Place shootings.
