A Fourth "Spider-Man" Movie With Zendaya And Tom Holland Is Reportedly Still A Possibility, But Don't Expect It Soon

Tom Holland’s web-slinging days may not be over just yet.

On Wednesday, producer Amy Pascal, who worked on all three of Holland’s Spider-Man movies, told Variety that a fourth film in the current installment is still on the table.

“Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are,” she told the publication. Variety reported Pascal was speaking about a fourth film starring Tom and Zendaya.

Between the two film series, we might be in a golden era for the spidey-sensed superhero. However, a possible fourth film starring Tom and Zendaya wouldn't likely be released anytime soon.

Pascal told Variety that a fourth film is on hold amid the ongoing writers strike. In general, it seems the film is still very much in early development.

Variety also spoke to Tom Rothman, the CEO of Sony Pictures which owns the Spider-Man film rights, and his response about the potential for a fourth film was less certain than Pascal’s response.

So take the possibility of a fourth Spider-Man starring Tom and Zendaya with a grain of salt. A lot would need to happen for the film to come to fruition.

Still, just the possibility of a fourth Spider-Man film would be impressive if only because the two previous film franchises following the masked man never reached a fourth film.

Andrew Garfield’s take on the superhero netted two films: The Amazing Spider-Man in 2012 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014.

Prior to him, Tobey Maguire played Spidey in three films: Spider-Man in 2002, Spider-Man 2 in 2004, and Spider-Man 3 in 2007.

In the meantime, to satisfy your Spidey, go see Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. It premieres in theaters on June 2.
