There are few people that have mastered effortless high-fashion as impressively as Alexa Chung, who throughout the early aughts was a front row fixture at the season’s buzziest shows, was a staple at all the right downtown NY parties and a paparazzi favorite loved for her trend-setting off-duty model looks. For all the thinkpieces about her style evolution through the years, though, her remarkably personal style really comes down to one thing: simplicity.

Now, fourteen years after her first partnership with Madewell, Chung and the Gap-owned retailer Madewell have launched a new capsule collection inspired by Chung’s own decades-spanning wardrobe filled with rare vintage finds from her travels across the world, in addition to versatile basics such as tees and perfectly-fitting denim jeans. The first half of the capsule, made up of 14 new pieces, is now available to shop on Madwell.com, with the second half launching later this fall.

The capsule is made up of mostly denim (in the form of bootcut jeans, overalls, western button-downs and ankle-length skirts) and brown suede (like this double-breasted blazer and mini skirt). One standout piece is a double-breasted blazer overcoat, retailing for $850.

The partnership follows dozens of headline-making collections that Chung has had her hand in over the years, starting with a breakout M&S line that made her a household name (at least in London) and a higher-end Mulberry Alexa collab in 2010, spawning her namesake Alexa bag.
