WASHINGTON — DC just became a host city for the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025, as Audi Field will host some games during the competition. With a 20,000 capacity, Audi Field ranks high to welcome fans to SW DC. The tournament will start on June 15, 2025, and will end on July 13 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

With Audi Field, the United States now offers a dozen venues to receive renowned teams like Manchester City that will be defending the title.

“The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will feature 12 fantastic stadiums where a new chapter in football’s global history will be written by great players from the 32 best clubs in the world,” said Gianni Infantino, FIFA President.

The draw is set for December, so fans are rooting for their teams to make it to the US. Analysts predict the 2025 edition could bring renowned teams like Boca Juniors, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich.

Other stadiums added to the coveted list include Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles, Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, and Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

The FIFA Club World Cup will pave the way for the FIFA World Cup 26TM tournament, and for this, with a new four-year partnership with Global Citizen, FIFA aims to help end extreme poverty and foster access to education for millions around the world.

“Football is the most popular sport on the planet, and in 2025 a new era for club football will kick off when FIFA stages the greatest, most inclusive, and merit-based global club competition right here in the United States,” emphasized Infantino.
