INDIANAPOLIS -- It didn't take long for the Buffalo Bills to get on the board against the Indianapolis Colts.

After the Bills were forced to punt after a four-play drive to open the game, the defense immediately victimized quarterback Joe Flacco. Nickel cornerback Taron Johnson picked off Flacco and returned the ball 23 yards for a touchdown.

The pass was intended for wide receiver Josh Downs, but Flacco's throw was short, and Johnson was able to easily take it away.

It was the third career pick-six for Johnson (including playoffs) and the team's second interception return for a touchdown this season, matching its total from 2023.

The Bills have sent a blitz on two Flacco dropbacks, and both have resulted in interceptions. The Bills had just one interception on a blitz this season entering Sunday.

This is Flacco's 40th career game with multiple interceptions, the second most among active players (Matthew Stafford is first with 44).
