WASHINGTON — DC Police are investigating a body that was found in the water in Georgetown.
Crews with DC Fire Water Rescue team were dispatched to 30th and K streets Sunday morning just before 10 for reports of a body in the water. When the fireboat arrived, they located a man in the water.
DC Fire and EMS told us the victim was deceased when they arrived.
Crews are still working to determine what happened. Officials have not said whether or not this was an accident.
The victim's identity has not been released as officers continue to investigate and notify next of kin.
