The origin of the fire appeared to be from the sun room of the two story home.
GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Firefighters rescued one person from a house fire in Gaithersburg Thursday morning.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of fire and heavy smoke from the house's sun room in the 18900 block of Blue Heron Lane around 9:30 a.m.
Responding crews escorted one person out of the home and said another person had to be rescued who was reported to be trapped in the basement of the home. That person's condition is not known at this time. Additional details were not immediately available.
The fire cause of the fire remains under investigation.
