MARLOW HEIGHTS, Md. — Police are investigating a shooting that left several people wounded, including a child in Marlow Heights on the Fourth of July.
According to the Prince George's County Police Department, the shooting happened in the 4500 block of Akron Street.
Very little information is available at this time, but police have confirmed that four people were wounded in the shooting. The victims include three adults and a child.
Preliminarily, police say two of the adult victims suffered "very minor" injuries, while the third adult is also expected to survive. However, the child was critically wounded in the shooting. The exact extent of the child's injuries is unknown.
No suspect information has been released. There is no word on any possible motive or what may have happened in the moments leading up to the shooting.
