CLIFTON, Va. — Police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing 9-year-old boy.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, 9-year-old Alex Scoville was last seen near the intersections of Sequoia Lea Drive and Union Mill Road in Clifton around 4 p.m. Friday.
Alex is 3-foot-4 and weighs 36 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Virginia State Police issued a CODI Alert on behalf of Alex's disappearance. The agency said he was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a yellow and blue striped shirt, navy blue sweatpants and a hedgehog backpack.
"This disappearance poses a credible threat to his/her health and safety as determined by the investigating agency," VSP said in the CODI Alert.
