The victims told police they were on their way home from dinner when they were approached by a group.
HYATTSVILLE, Md. — Police are searching for the five people who attempted to rob a couple in Hyattsville.
According to Hyattsville Police, they received calls of a shooting at 10:14 p.m. on Tuesday. Officers arrived in the 2500 block of Kirkwood Place where they found a man and woman with gunshot wounds.
Both victims were taken to a hospital. Their current condition is unknown.

At some point, the two were shot. It is unclear if an altercation occurred between the group and the couple. Police have not released any suspect descriptions at this time.
