DC Police are investigating a double shooting, one minor dead

WASHINGTON — D.C. Police are investigating a double shooting that occurred in Northeast.

Officers received calls Thursday evening for reports of a shooting at the Lamond Recreation Center. When they arrived they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. 

Police say one of the victims is a minor, but did not tell us his age. The minor, according to police was not conscious or breathing when they arrived. First responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the minor dead. 

The second victim was taken to a local hospital. Officials have not released any information about either of their identities at this time. 

Officers say the suspect was wearing black pants and a blue surgical mask.
