A female victim told police she was in an argument with the suspect, who opened fire when a witness approached to help.
WASHINGTON — DC Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man believed to have shot at two people in Northeast Friday evening.
According to police, officers responded around 7:14 p.m. Friday to the 600 block of Division Avenue NE on a report of a shooting. The address is located in the northeast corner of the Lincoln Heights neighborhood across the street from Marvin Gaye Park and near the intersection of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue NE and Division Avenue NE.
Once on scene, police interviewed a female victim who reported she was involved in a verbal argument with the suspect when a witness attempted to intervene. The victim said the suspect then began shooting at the pair.
Neither the victim nor the witness were injured in the shooting and the suspect fled before officers arrived.
MPD is searching for the pictured suspect for shooting at a woman he was arguing with and a witness who attempted to intervene Friday evening.

Police released a surveillance image of the suspect Saturday evening. No further information about the suspect’s possible identity was immediately released.

DC Police offer a reward of up to $10,000 for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District.
