From discounted rides to polling centers and pizza to free doughnuts and milkshakes, here's a list of what's offered this Election Day.
SAN FRANCISCO — While millions of Americans have already voted early, sent in their ballots or made a voting plan, millions more will take to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 3 for Election Day.
Though it's technically illegal to offer free products or other incentives during any federal election to people for registering to vote or voting, according to United States code, many businesses across the country have found workarounds to offer deals around Election Day.
Here's a full list of national offers from discounted ridesharing and snacks to free goodies for folks with and without "I Voted" stickers to take advantage of.
Lyft is offering a 50% discount, up to $10, on rides to polling stations Nov. 5 with code VOTE24. The promotion is good for car, bike or scooter rides from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. in every time zone and is limited to one ride per person.
Uber rolled out new in-app features to help folks find their nearest polling center and other reminders to encourage riders to vote. Uber is also offering 50% off rides to polling places up to $10. The offer runs Nov. 5 from midnight through 11:59 p.m.
Uber Eats is offering 25%, maximum $25, off orders $25 or more before taxes and fees. The offer runs from 6 p.m. Nov. 5 through 7 a.m. Nov. 6.
Lime is offering two free 30-minute rides from now until Nov. 5 with promo code VOTE2024 to help people get to and back from their polling locations.
For anyone in need of a sweet treat, Krispy Kreme is offering a free original glazed doughnut to anyone visiting their store Election Day, with a limit of one per person. There is no requirement to get the free doughnut, and they’re offering extra “I Voted” stickers while supplies last.
The promotion is only available at participating locations Nov. 5.
The frozen yogurt company Yogurtland is offering 15% off an in-store order when voters show their “I Voted” sticker at participating locations.
All customers get one free frozen yogurt at participating IKEA Swedish Bistros on Election Day with the use of a coupon. Valid only on Election Day and at participating locations, while supplies last. Coupon HERE.
Johnny Rockets diner is offering a free milkshake with any purchase at participating locations to those who show off their “I Voted” sticker.
Round Table Pizza is offering $6 off large and extra large pizzas for Election Day, according to a company spokesperson. This offer is good for dine-in, pickup and delivery orders at participating locations. No requirements or promo codes were given to access this deal. See their full promotions list HERE.
