"I just felt that in my bones."
Emily Blunt is trading in screen time for quality time.
During a recent interview on the Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi podcast, Emily revealed she's taking a year off from acting to create some more memories with her children.
“This year, I’m not working," Emily said. "I worked quite a bit last year and my oldest baby is nine, so we’re in the last year of single digits.”
Emily and John Krasinski have two daughters together — 9-year-old Hazel and 7-year-old Violet.
“And I just feel [like] there are cornerstones to their day that are so important when they’re little. And it’s, ‘Will you wake me up? Will you take me to school? Will you pick me up? Will you put me to bed?’
"And I just need to be there for all of them for a good stretch. And I just felt that in my bones.”
This interview comes a week before the release of Emily's latest film Oppenheimer, which has already been deemed a "must-see." She stars alongside Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, and Matt Damon.
Emily plays Kitty Oppenheimer, a botanist and mother looking to create a better life for her and her daughter, until she finds herself in the middle of a dangerous racketeering scheme after she begins working at a local pharmacy.
It's great to see her taking some time to herself and her family!
