Promotion for the DC Comics flick has moved forward, despite all the troubling headlines surrounding its star Ezra Miller.

And given all that's been going on, many were honestly surprised when Ezra showed up to the premiere in Los Angeles this week.

Throughout the evening, Ezra posed for photos, signed autographs and even spoke in front of a packed crowd — during which they thanked Warner execs for their "grace and discernment and care in the context of my life."

Here's what Twitter had to say about Ezra's premiere apperance:

It is the definition of white privilege that Ezra Miller is walking the red carpet and not in jail.

It's so disgusting that this movie is coming out after everything they have done. https://t.co/6qdF6PuP5Q

The fact that people are still celebrating Ezra Miller really disgusts me.

The privilege shown here is out of this world. This is why I will never see another DC movie. I cannot in bring myself to support those who will support this. https://t.co/Wc4KcQLlqO

White privilege is SO crazy, I can’t believe Ezra Miller got to keep their role as the flash …
