The first edition of the LatAm Content Market, a market focusing on non-fiction productions, whether docs and realities, will take place in Rio de Janeiro over March 10-13 in 2025.

Brazil-based production companies Grifa and Stay and Fly Docs, the organizers of LatAm Content Market, will officially announce the new event on June 26 during France’s Sunny Side of the Doc.

“There is currently a lack of a market in Latin America fully dedicated to non-fiction productions,” Fernando Dias, CEO of LatAm Content Market and one of the owners of Grifa, told Variety. “We are talking to a number of players, and many are interested in flying to Rio, because they know they will do business here.”

The LatAm Content Market will take place at the Copacabana beach-front Othon Palace Hotel.  Organizers expect to attract to the first edition about 600 participants from some 30 countries, including representatives of top players in Europe, North America and Asia.

The event will feature one-to-one meetings, pitching sessions, workshops, keynotes speakers, seminars and space for networking, according to organizers.
