WASHINGTON — A D.C. gang member was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Friday after he admitted to selling drugs and using unregistered guns.

Eugene Hill, 31, admitted to a federal court in July that he sold oxycodone and marijuana to other dealers within the PDS crew. Hill said he used a machine gun and a handgun while distributing these drugs

The Department of Justice shared a picture of Hill holding a machine gun when they announced Hill's sentencing Friday.

"In his plea agreement, Hill admitted that he distributed both marijuana and oxycodone, and that he distributed both substances in bulk to other dealers and in smaller, street level transactions," DOJ officials said Friday. "He also admitted to purchasing semi-automatic and fully automatic AR-Pistol ghost guns that he stored in 'trap houses' maintained by PDS."

The FBI arrested Hill in 2022 after they searched a trap house he helped run on Fourth Street. There, agents found some of the drugs and weapons used to charge Hill.

While marijuana is legal locally in Washington D.C., these laws only allow selling the drug in a regulated retail setting. Weed is still illegal under federal law.
