Beat the heat with a free Slurpee.
PORTLAND, Ore. — You can cool down in this summer heat wave with a free sweet, icy treat on Thursday.
To mark the convenience store chains 97th birthday, 7-Eleven will give away a free small Slurpee to customers on Thursday, July 11. The promotion is also available at Speedway and Stripes convenience stores.
7-Eleven has been giving away free Slurpees each year on July 11 since 2002, although the promotion has been pared back over the years.
This year's promotion also brings attention to an important cause. Slurpees will come in an exclusive cup designed by 7-year-old Nolan, a cancer survivor, as part of 7-Eleven's partnership with Children's Miracle Network hospitals.
Meet Nolan, the artist behind the exclusive #SlurpeeDay cup at @7Eleven, @Speedway, & @stripesstores! This Slurpee® Day, celebrate Nolan & all brave kids through CMN Hospitals.
