Healthcare workers: how have you been affected by the UK riots?

1 month ago 2

Parts of the UK have seen violent riots in recent days, with Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby saying demonstrators “defile the flag they wrap themselves in.”

The healthcare sector relies on overseas workers to operate. Around 1.5 million NHS workers in England, about 19 percent, are non-British, according to the House of Commons Library.

We want to hear the experiences of NHS workers. What are your reactions to recent events? Have you noticed anything different about relationships with patients? What impact is the violence having on your workplace?
