When is Bridgerton season three out? Well, it's the question on everyone's lips! The hit Netflix series recently wrapped on filming, but hasn't given any clue as to when the next instalment of the show will be available for fans.

Previous seasons of the show have dropped on Christmas Day 2020 (season one) and 25 March 2022 (season two). Combining that unpredictability with the recent SAG-AFTRA strikes, well, I think it's fair to say the jury's out as to when to expect season three!
What we do know is it's Colin's story! This season sees the third Bridgerton son embark on his own romantic storyline with fellow established character, Penelope Featherington AKA Lady Whistledown. #POLIN

For the first time, the TV series will diverge from the order of the books and skip over Benedict's Story, An Offer from a Gentleman. This decision was taken by new showrunner Jess Brownell, who told Variety that she felt it was "Colin and Penelope’s time", and that viewers more "invested" in their story. Fair, honestly.
Aside from this and a host of other little details dropped by Netflix, no one really knows what happen in season three of Bridgerton, but that hasn't stopped people from guessing! Here are five fan theories about season three that are doing the rounds right now...
1. Queen Charlotte will be killed off.

As this article points out, Queen Charlotte, who is an entirely imagined character separate from the books, died in 1818. The second season of Bridgerton takes place in 1814, and the third could cycle forwards as far as 1824, which would take as past the death date of the monarch who has proved a central part of the show thus far.
2. Daphne will help mend the rift between Penelope and Eloise.

According to this Redditor, season one protagonist, Daphne, will help Eloise forgive Penelope for lying to her about being Lady Whistledown. "I think it would make sense if she tried to help [because] she would understand both sides of the conflict, seeing as it is a similar situation to her and Edwina's relationship in [season two]."
3. It's #Polin season because the showrunners need more time to figure Benedict's sexuality before they do his love story.

I love this theory that season three will explore more of Benedict's fruity side – cos come on, that Henry Granville storyline was going somewhere!! I don't know that Benedict will be gay per se, but I can't help but feel (hope) his sexuality gets explore more in the season.
Fans also think that season three will introduce to Sophie Beckett, who becomes the object of Benedict's affections in the book. That's prob more likely, TBF.
4. Penelope will use the money she's made as Lady Whistledown to help out her family.

As we've seen in the previous seasons, the fortunes of the Featheringtons has been up and down to say the least! We also know that Penelope has made a decent amount of money from being the Ton's resident gossip. So, it would follow that she would use that coin to save her family. How she'll explain why she has so much money... That's another story!
5. Finally, Netflix won't be releasing all the episodes at one!

A viral rumour that's been in circulation for a long time suggests that Netflix wants to move away from its traditional bingeing model. In fact, it can be traced back this tweet in September 2022. With Bridgerton being one of the biggest shows Netflix has in its roster, fans are worried that season three will be released weekly instead of all at once.
To quote u/stephapeaz, "ummmm how about no???? imagine waiting a week in between Aubrey hall and the anthony/edwina wedding episodes, no thank u 😅".
