The theme is "Disney Princess: An Enchanted Evening."
Andy Golder / Midjourney
This one's not too far off from her dress in the movie. A safe choice, but you can't say it isn't on theme.
It's giving lily pads, which I love, and it's got just enough drama for the Met Gala.
We've got waves, we've got some sea plants, and even though there isn't a shell bra (that would be a little on the nose anyway), the neckline is slightly reminiscent of one.
The dress itself is spot on, it's an elevated version of Merida's dress that makes enough of a splash to belong at the Met Gala. The only downside is that Merida would actually hate wearing this.
This one leaned a little TOO far into the apple theme IMO, but you gotta appreciate a big swing.
The Indigenous-inpsired design, the beading, the silhouette... it's all a YES for me.
I would've gone with a bigger center jewel on the headpiece, but otherwise, nailed it.
The color isn't quite Rapunzel's shade of purple in Tangled, but I do like the flower and vine motifs. My favorite thing, though, is the incorporated lighting, which is a slight nod to the lanterns from the movie.
I don't know how you make armor out of fabric, but I love it.
Okay, it's exactly what we're expecting from Cinderella. Not a lot of risks here. But I do like the elevation of her signature choker!
This is very Elsa, but it's also kinda a yawn for me? I dunno, I almost never love an illusion appliqué dress, but maybe that's just me.
It's earthy, but it's a tad basic. Sorry, Anna.
Closing it out with one that I LOVE. It's so much more of an interpretation, rather than a one-to-one recreation of Aurora's dress. It's giving pillows and silk sheets on a very comfortable bed. It really looks like you could just sit down and fall asleep in this thing. 10/10.
