The special primary election will be held in August.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A special primary election is coming to Prince George's County in August, and we want voters to be prepared.

On Aug. 6, the county will hold a special election for a council member at-large seat. The general election will also be put on the state ballot for the 2024 presidential election on Nov. 5.

The special primary election will be a vote-by mail election and all registered voters in the county will be automatically mailed a ballot.

Residents who haven't registered but want to vote in the special primary must do so by July 16.

Ballots will be mailed around July 23.

If a voter is on the permanent absentee ballot list for all elections and they request their permanent absentee ballot be delivered via the web, their ballot will be delivered online. All other voters will receive their ballots in the mail.

Any voter can request online delivery by completing a mail-in ballot application here.
