Drew continued, thanking MTV for the opportunity and sharing her excitement to return in 2024. "I can't wait to be a part of this next year, when I can truly celebrate everything that MTV has created, which is a show that allows fans to choose who the awards go to and is truly inclusive."

Variety reports that there won't be a replacement for Drew, either. However, you may still see her on the show, as she recorded a number of pre-taped segments before stepping down as host.

The report also said there won't be a red carpet at the awards this year — but it's unclear who's even going anyway, as presenters, nominees, and guests might choose not to appear due to the strike.
