Jon Stewart will host a live “Daily Show” special on election night.

The hour-long special will feature Stewart and his team, including Ronny Chieng, Jordan Klepper, Michael Kosta and Desi Lydic, as they provide live analysis, commentary, interviews and tips as results from the 2024 presidential election roll in.

Stewart will also be joined by three guests: Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs and Lieutenant Governor of Michigan Garlin Gilchrist II.

Like all of the show’s weeknight episodes, the special will air on Comedy Central at 11 p.m. ET. Those without cable can stream the episode live on Paramount+, currently offering a free trial.

After returning to the satirical news program in early 2024, Stewart announced last month that he has extended his deal and will host “The Daily Show” every Monday through December 2025. Stewart will also remain an executive producer on the show. With his return, Stewart brought the program to its highest ratings since 2018.

Asked at the September Emmys if he planned to extend his deal with “The Daily Show,” Stewart quipped: “Well, my feeling is this election will never end. So why would I? How could I leave? I won’t be allowed to leave until the election, until we’re all ground to some sort of calcified nubs. … We’re looking forward to it being awful.”

Stewart hosted “The Daily Show” from 1999 to 2015, driving the series to widespread acclaim and 23 Emmy awards. When he departed the show before Donald Trump’s presidential term, comedian Trevor Noah took over until 2022. “The Daily Show” did not immediately find a permanent host after Noah left, instead rotating between guest hosts including Sarah Silverman, Hasan Minhaj, Chelsea Handler, Wanda Sykes, Al Franken and Kal Penn.
