"I'd Rather Drill A Hole In My Knee And Fill It With Warm Milk" — 18 TV Shows People Refuse To Watch, And They're Not Holding Back Their Disgust

4 months ago 6

"The only way I can think of where someone could actually get me to watch an episode would be to literally put a gun to my head."

In a world of various streaming platforms, there are hundreds (if not thousands) of TV shows to choose from...

NBC

And although some of them are super popular, I'm sure we all have that one TV show that you flat out refuse to watch. So, when u/vivaciouslyDroopy asked people to share theirs, I decided to round up the best answers:

1. The Masked Singer

Tree with mushroom accents, Sun in golden dress, and Pink Monster in a furry pink outfit with a pink feathered collar

Fox

"What kind of stupid crap is that anyway?"

u/Maggie_May66

"I think it suffered from the same fate as Lip Sync Battle, which is that after a season or two you start to run out of good celebrities willing to do it. The show becomes a lot less interesting when you go from legitimate celebrities doing things to like c-tier Instagram influencers."

2. Euphoria

Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Barbie Ferreira in a heated conversation scene. Sweeney wears a hoodie, Demie a mesh top, and Ferreira a tiger print blouse

HBO

"It's so weirdly overrated. Everyone who likes it is kinda questionable to me. I watched like two episodes with my ex and it's literally just high schoolers having sex... Who wants to watch that? It's just creepy."

4. Married at First Sight

A wedding ceremony with a man in a blue suit, a woman in a white dress with tattoos, and an officiant holding a book

E4

"This show is damn near criminally responsible for destroying people's lives. The 'experts' are ridiculously bad at matchmaking to the point it appears they're doing it on purpose."

5. Bridgerton

Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan in Regency-era attire at a formal event in a scene from Bridgerton

Netflix

7. This is Us

Justin Hartley and Sterling K. Brown, dressed in casual jackets and shirts, lean on a surface and look contemplative in an indoor setting

NBC

8. Big Brother

AJ Odudu and Will Best on stage, AJ in a shiny, form-fitting jumpsuit, and Will in a dark suit, both holding microphones, with a vibrant, colorful background

ITV2

"I'd rather drill a hole in my knee and fill it with warm milk."

9. The Big Bang Theory

Melissa Rauch, Simon Helberg, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, Mayim Bialik, and Kunal Nayyar sit in a living room eating takeout food, smiling, and laughing

CBS

"The only thing I've ever seen from that show was that clip that went around where they removed the laugh track. It really Illustrated how unfunny that show is and why I should never watch it."

10. The Office (US)

A man in a suit with his hands under his chin exhibits a thoughtful yet amused expression

NBC

12. Lost

Jorge Garcia, Matthew Fox, Josh Holloway, Evangeline Lilly, Danielle Rousseau, and Terry O'Quinn standing in a jungle, looking up with concerned expressions

ABC

13. Black Mirror

Miley Cyrus in a futuristic white outfit with a purple wig stands in front of four backup dancers with lights in the background

Netflix

"Just reading the plot summary gives me anxiety. I know my taste, and such bleak cynicism is not for me, no matter how much people harp on about how 'important' it is."

u/ToxicToothpaste

14. Seinfeld

Michael Richards, Jason Alexander, Jerry Seinfeld, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus in a scene from "Seinfeld," with all characters looking surprised or shocked

NBC

15. Mad Men

A man in a business suit sits at a desk holding a glass, with blinds and office buildings visible in the background

AMC

"I just don't care."

u/jrf_1973

"Oh dude, it is SOOO boring!! Nothing happens! It’s insane this show got so big."

u/Tackit286

16. One Piece

Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece is smiling widely, with a bandaged chest and arms, against a jungle backdrop

Toonami

"There's no way I'm watching 1000+ episodes of a show with an art style that unappealing."

u/PPRmenta

"There is no story in the world that needs 1000 episodes to be told. That's just excessive."

u/Stokkolm

17. The Walking Dead

A group of people, including Andrew Lincoln, Lauren Cohan, and Norman Reedus, stand in a field holding weapons, appearing ready for a confrontation

AMC

"I've never seen a single episode, and I really don't care to ever watch it at this point. It never mattered to me when it was a huge hit; I didn't care to watch the spinoffs. Ehh. I just don't care about this show and never have."

u/Only1Skrybe

18. Keeping Up with the Kardashians

Khloé Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian are talking while sitting at a table decorated with Halloween-themed items, including candles and skulls

E!

"The only way I can think of where someone could actually get me to watch an episode would be to literally put a gun to my head."
