Jerry Seinfeld Shuts Down More Pro-Palestine Hecklers During Set in Australia: You ‘Just Gave More Money to a Jew’

Jerry Seinfeld has shut down another group of pro-Palestine hecklers at his stand-up show in Australia, which was only the most recent occurrence in his chain of disruptions during the comedian’s tour.

On Saturday night, Seinfeld was performing to thousands of fans at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena when a group of pro-Palestine protesters began shouting, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” toward the end of his set.

“Oh, you’re back. They’re back! The protesters are back! I missed you,” Seinfeld said on stage, before addressing them directly.

“Listen, you and I are in the same business. We’re in the same business,” the comedian said. “Our business is to get people to see things the way we see it. The problem is, you’re in the wrong place. Do you hear how well I’m doing? This is what you want.”

Seinfeld, who has been outspoken in his support for Israel amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza, then said to the pro-Palestine protesters, “I think you need to go back and tell whoever is running your organization, ‘We just gave more money to a Jew.’ That cannot be a good plan for you. You gotta come up with a better plan.”

Earlier this week, Seinfeld called a pro-Palestine protester a “moron” at his comedy show in Sydney, Australia, after the heckler disrupted his set.

“We have a genius, ladies and gentlemen. He solved the Middle East!” Seinfeld said sarcastically as the audience laughed and cheered. “It’s the Jewish comedians, that’s who we have to get! They’re the ones doing everything.”

“You’re really influencing everyone here,” Seinfeld added. “We’re all on your side now, because you’ve made your point so well, and in the right venue, you’ve come to the right place for a political conversation.”
