Kim And Khloé Kardashian Are Being Called “Mean Girls” After Making A Shady Jab At Kourtney While Talking About The Upcoming Season Of Their Show

“They come off like such mean girls. When it comes to Kourtney, I feel like she's actually grown over time... But Khloé and Kim still just seem so catty.”

Season 3 of The Kardashians comes out next week — and judging from what we’ve seen so far, it’s going to be full of drama.

From Kim Kardashian addressing her feud with ex-husband Kanye West at length, to Kylie Jenner calling out the harmful way her family has contributed to society’s beauty standards, the recently-released trailer covers a ton of interesting topics.

But one of the most intriguing things featured in the trailer is the long-rumored feud between Kim and Kourtney.

Last season, it seemed apparent that the tension between Kim and Kourt — which began bubbling back in 2017 — was rearing up again. The sisters made several subtle jabs at each other across the ten episodes, and viewers at home most certainly picked up on the awkwardness.

In case you needed a quick reminder, the discord between the sisters began to bubble after a therapist’s advice prompted Kourt to spend less time filming for Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and more time with her kids. Up until this point, she’d spent years displaying some of the most intimate moments of her life on camera, including the ups and downs of her and Scott Disick’s past relationship, and the literal birth of their first child, Mason.

But nevertheless, Kourtney’s choice to step away from the cameras is one that caused heaps of tension between her and her sisters — namely Kim, who began claiming she was far more committed to working than Kourt was. By 2020, as I’m sure you’ll remember, the pair had gotten into a physical fight.

And while it eventually seemed as though the tensions between Kim and Kourtney had been resolved, their newer Hulu series The Kardashians ended up suggesting that things were far from OK.

Well, now that the Season 3 trailer is out, it looks as though this tension between Kim and Kourtney will be a major plotpoint in the forthcoming episodes.

In the trailer, Kourtney accuses Kim of using her and Travis Barker’s wedding — which was hosted entirely by Dolce & Gabbana — as a “business opportunity,” given that Kim started collaborating with the brand a few months later. Kim denies this, claiming that she “couldn't have been more mindful” with her decision, though Kourt isn’t convinced, telling their sister Khloé: “People think it’s a misunderstanding. It's not. It's who [Kim] is to her core.”

And this week, Kim and Khloé all but confirmed that they’re not on the best terms with Kourtney right now as they made a couple of shady remarks about her during a joint appearance at Disney Upfront.

Taking to the stage before a huge audience, Kim and Khloé firstly announced that The Kardashians had been renewed for an additional 20 episodes.

“We’re so excited to announce The Kardashians have been renewed for 20 more episodes,” Khloé said. Kim later added, “And if you guys thought last season was wild with marriages and births and the breakups, this new season is gonna be crazy epic.”

Khloé went on to say, “Things do get a little crazy.” Kim replied, “Not between us though,” to which Khloé agreed, “No, you and I are good.” Fans quickly assumed that this was a reference to the tension between Kim and Kourtney.

Then, Kim giggled and added, “That’s why we’re here” — seemingly shading Kourtney, who wasn’t present at the event.

Discussing the clip on Reddit, several fans noted that they’re not impressed by Kim and Khloé’s “mean” attitudes.

“This is a weird vibe,” one person wrote. “They have this obsession with Kourt being the villain. And people buy into it,” said another.

Some users went on to label Kim and Khloé “mean girls,” noting that they’ve been throwing “immature jabs” at Kourt for years now.

“They come off like such mean girls. When it comes to Kourtney, I feel like she's actually grown over time (as far as being bitchy or whatever.) But Khloe and Kim still just seem so catty,” someone wrote.

“Kim and Khloe have been throwing these awkward immature jabs at Kourt every now and then for YEARS now. It's getting old. They haven't changed a bit,” said another user.

On the other hand, some fans speculated that the drama was purposefully contrived to provide drama for their show after fans found Season 2 to be a little lackluster.

“I’m starting to really think the fight with Kourtney is fake,” someone wrote.

“I think they heard the feedback that season 2 was boring af and created this fake drama storyline,” another person agreed, while one user added, “They’ve caught up that it gets people talking.”

Only time will tell! Season 3 of The Kardashians will be available to stream on Hulu, or Disney+ internationally, starting May 25.
