The driver of the lawn mower was transported to a hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — A man who was riding a lawn mower has died after colliding with a car on Great Seneca Highway Tuesday afternoon.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) says officers responded to the crash at approximately 1:13 p.m. in the area of Great Seneca Highway and High Gables Drive.
Police say they found the 28-year-old mower operator unresponsive in the roadway. The victim was given life-saving measures and transported to an area hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.
MCPD says the driver of the striking vehicle, a black 2021 Genesis G70, remained at the scene. The name of the victim, or any applicable charges against the driver, have not been released at the time of publication.
MCPD's Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the collision.
