While the actor basks in the joy of motherhood, we thought it was about time we looked back at our favourite Lindsay Lohan movies that truly raised us. Here are 6 of her best, ranked...

6. Just My Luck, 2006

20th Century Fox

This rom-com hits you in all the feels! Just My Luck follows Ashley Albright who is pretty much the luckiest person in Manhattan, until she happens to meet Jake Hardin who is plagued with bad luck. In true rom-com fashion, the two kiss at a masquerade party and their luck is switched, leading to their lives being topsy-turvy until they meet again. Its slightly predictable but hilarious charm means it earns its place in Lindsay's repertoire.

5. Herbie: Fully Loaded, 2005

Buena Vista Pictures

Although this does partly feel like a fever dream, it was too iconic not to include! It serves as a direct sequel to previous Herbie films and follows Herbie, a Volkswagen Beetle with a mind of its own, and Maggie Peyton who chooses Herbie to be her racing car. I don't believe anyone can watch this film without shedding a few tears, and yes, it will lead you to become emotionally attached to a vehicle.

Our rating: 8/10

4. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, 2004

Buena Vista Pictures Distribution

Yup, in just one year Lindsay blessed us with two iconic performances! The movie follows 15-year old Lola Steppe from New York (who dreams of becoming a Broadway actress), when her family moves to the suburbs of New Jersey. Filled with embellishments and risk-taking behaviours from the aspiring young star, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen is jam-packed with the dramatics we all crave - not to mention the bold outfit choices that belong on everyone's Y2K Pinterest boards.

Our rating: 8/10

3. The Parent Trap, 1998

Buena Vista Pictures Distribution

With being one of Lindsay's first acting credits, it's no wonder this movie has become a cult classic and a must-watch in every household. It follows identical twins (both played by Lindsay of course) Annie and Hallie who were separated at birth and meet for the first time at summer camp. Filled with clever schemes, lots of laughs, and a few tears, The Parent Trap will always have a place in our heart.

Our rating: 9/10

2. Freaky Friday, 2003

Buena Vista Pictures

Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis as a mother and daughter duo is one for the books. The two wake up to find they've switched bodies which leads to some hilarious, unforgettable scenes. Yup, including Chad Michael Murray's character becoming fascinated with who he believes is Anna's mother, Tess. Freaky Friday just gets the ups and downs of being mother and daughter, and showcases the trials and tribulations of firstly being a teenager, as well as being responsible for one! All I'm saying is, I cannot wait for the sequel!

Our rating: 9.5/10

1. Mean Girls, 2004

Paramount Pictures

I doubt this movie needs an introduction - I mean, come on, who doesn't still quote "she doesn't even go here" on the regular? This teen comedy was a cultural reset and followed student Cady Heron move from Kenya to an American high school while getting thrown into the deep end of teenage politics. From The Plastics to the birth of the "I'm not a regular mum, I'm a cool mum" cliché, Mean Girls will never be out of style.
