Investigators say Wyatt Swan was dating Teresa Francisco and that her death was rooted in domestic violence.
WASHINGTON — A man is facing charges after police say he shot and killed a woman he was dating. That woman was later found shot in a car in Northeast D.C.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 900 block of Eastern Avenue, Northeast just after 1 p.m. on Oct. 1. When investigators arrived, they found 53-year-old Teresa Francisco shot in a car. First responders helped Francisco but she would die from her injuries.
Investigators say Swan was dating Francisco and that her death was rooted in domestic violence.
A day after Francisco's death, officers with the Bowie Police Department and Prince George's County Police apprehended 48-year-old Wyatt Michelin Swan.
Swan has been charged with premeditated first-degree murder while armed. Since his arrest in Maryland, Swan has been extradited to D.C.
