Fairfax County Police are searching for a suspect in connection to a shooting that left a man dead.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A man has died from his injuries after a shooting Saturday morning in Fairfax County, Virginia, police said.
Officers with the Fairfax County Police Department were called to the Viera Ln off of Chain Bridge Road after getting reports of a person who had been shot.
Once at the scene, officers found a man in an apartment complex with a gunshot wound, according to Fairfax County Police. The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died, police said.
Officers are looking for a man seen running from the area. He is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s with long black hair, wearing a black jacket and jeans.
The shooting does not appear to be a random act. Detectives believe the suspect knows the victim, Fairfax County Polie said. Officers are pursuing leads to locate the suspect.
