FREDERICK, Md. — A man was taken to a trauma center after falling approximately 50 feet from a cliff at Gambrill State Park Monday evening.
According to Frederick County Fire & Rescue, crews were alerted of the fall around 7:45 p.m. The man reportedly fell 50 feet in the area of Gambrill Park Road at High Knob.
When crews arrived, they found the man was semi-conscious and required air support to hoist him from where he had fallen. However, crews were able to carry the man up to the ambulance and he was later flown to an area trauma center.
There is no word on the man's condition at this time.
