WASHINGTON — A man is in the hospital in critical condition after a crash in D.C. early Tuesday morning. Investigators are still working to learn what led up to the crash.
According to D.C. Fire and EMS, crews were dispatched to the intersection of Franklin Street and Lincoln Road Northeast near the Edgewood Recreation Center just before 2 a.m. First responders arrived on scene to find a crash involving three vehicles. One person was trapped in the wreckage.
Crews worked quickly to remove the roof and pull the man to safety. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. Firefighters say the man was in critical condition.
No other injuries were reported. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
