Police say the robber came inside, assaulted the victim, and then ran away with his money.
GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Police are searching for the man accused of robbing a 7-Eleven customer while he was using the ATM inside the convenience store.
Officers say they were called to the 11500 block of Rockville Pike near Nicholson Lane on Sept. 3 just after 12:45 p.m. for reports of a strong-armed robbery.
According to police, surveillance cameras located inside the store show the victim was inside the 7-Eleven at the ATM withdrawing some cash. The robber came inside, assaulted the victim, and then ran away with his money.
Police have since released a photo of the robber and described him as a man believed to be in his 30s, with a slim build, with black hair.
