Deputies say the deadly shooting appears to be an isolated matter.
NORTH BEACH, Md. — A shooting in North Beach left a man dead Wednesday night and authorities searching for answers as to what happened.
Deputies with the Calvert County Sheriff's Office responded to Sea Gull Court, off of Frederick Avenue and 5th Street, just after 9 p.m. for a shooting that was reported. Upon arrival, they found a man who had been shot.
Deputies worked to give him medical treatment, but he was later pronounced dead at the location.
Witnesses told the sheriff's office that they saw two men involved in an altercation in the parking lot of the apartment complex, and then at some point the suspect shot the victim. The identity of the victim has not been released, this includes their age, name, and where they are from.
The suspect in the case was apprehended. Their identity has not been revealed.
