Officers believe 18-year-old Demari Brown and the 16-year-old suspect were shooting at each other.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Police have arrested a man and a teen in connection to a shooting that left two people injured earlier this month.
According to a release from the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD), 18-year-old Demari Brown and an unnamed 16-year-old have been arrested and face several charges.
Officers were called to the 18800 block of Walkers Choice Rd. just before 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7.
When officers arrived, they found two people had been shot. Once of the victims was later identified as Brown and the second victim is an unidentified boy under the age of 18.
The pair were taken to an area hospital for help, Brown was shot in the leg while the underage victim was hit multiple times and seriously injured.
Officers believe Brown and the 16-year-old suspect were shooting at each other.
Investigators claim the 16-year-old was arrested after he was connected to the shooting and has been charged as an adult with two counts of attempted second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault and multiple firearms-related charges. He is being held without bond.
Brown was later arrested and charged with first-degree assault, and multiple firearms-related charges. He was transported to the Montgomery County Central Procession Unit, where he was charged with additional firearms-related charges. He is being held without bond.
