According to police, a Metro Transit Police shot the person after a series of carjackings in the Rosslyn area.

ARLINGTON, Va. — A Metro Transit Police officer shot a person in the Rosslyn area on Friday, the Arlington Police Department said.

Arlington Police first tweeted about the shooting around 12:15 p.m.

According to police, a Metro Transit Police shot the person after a series of carjackings in the Rosslyn area.

The carjacking suspect has been taken to an area hospital with serious injuries after being shot. 

No other suspects are being sought in the carjackings.

No other details have been released. This is a developing story. WUSA9 has a crew headed to the scene.
