Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson was carted off the field during the third quarter of the Lions’ matchup with the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

Hutchinson left the field after sacking Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott on a second-down play. Hutchinson was in the middle of tackling Prescott when his left leg appeared to collide with a teammate.

The Fox broadcast did not show a replay of the injury, which they deemed to be too gruesome. Hutchinson was on the field for several minutes before he could be carted off. Players from both teams gathered around him as he was taken to the locker room.

Hutchinson entered the game leading the NFL in sacks with six and a half.

The Lions selected Hutchinson second overall in the 2022 NFL draft. He had 21 sacks in his first two seasons with Detroit.
