Police say a shot was fired after after a fight involving five or six people.
SEAT PLEASANT, Md. — Police are searching for the person who shot someone outside the Metro station in Seat Pleasant Wednesday night. Investigators say a fight between a group of six people escalated and a shot was fired.
Metro Transit Police, Prince George's County Police and Seat Pleasant Police all responded to a shooting call at the Addison Road/Seat Pleasant Metro station at around 9:15 p.m. When officers arrived, they found one person had been shot at the Addison Road bus bay.
Investigators claim that five or six people were involved in a fight before boarding a bus. The fight continued on the bus, and the group got off the bus about 90 seconds later, according to police.
Once they exited the bus, a shot was fired. One person was shot and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Metro Transit Police. The person who was shot has not been identified by police, and their current condition is not known. Another person involved was treated for a broken arm.
The bus bay was closed for the investigation.
